Civilization: Resolve Amidst Chaos?

Despite his ubiquitous clothing, this young Londoner inspired my eye to imagine him as a sort of street warrior. Were I to assign him a name, it would be Lothario, after the dodgy character in an 18th century English play by Nicholas Rowe, The Fair Penitent. He is armed with his field kit in a man-bag, his eyes swiveling to assess his position and conquest potential. Channeling his marching orders from an unseen source, he flicks the ever-present cigarette that is his reluctant addiction, for it warms his fingers with the courage to stay in the game; to keep calm and carry on…
