    Aaaaah! Moody and disconcerting and beautifully executed…love the marks and the tones… Alice and her friends would meet pieces like this in the horror remake of Wonderland!

    Thank you, Johann. Tim Burton’s Alice was only in my area for a short run, so I did not see it in 3D, but will reserve it when it’s available on DVD. Burton is a designer whose controlled chaotic imagination always inspires me. This drawing was part of series of chess-themed images meant to express the idea of dead metaphors.
